Packing kits for Lutheran World Relief

The Women of Osseo Lutheran Church have four general meetings a year.

They meet the first Wednesday of the month in February (Mug & Muffin), April (Salad Luncheon), and December (Christmas buffet).  In addition there is a picnic in June and a bazaar in October.

Currently there are two circles that meet for Bible study at the church on the third Tuesday of the month at 1 p.m. using The Gather. The women have a quilting group meeting twice a month on Tuesdays. They also provide quilts, school kits, health kits, layettes, and sewing kits for Lutheran World Relief.

Sunday School
Sunday School  (Coordinator Catherine Tielbar)
Sunday School classes are held during the school year between worship services, 9:30 - 10:30 a.m., on Sunday mornings . We offer 4K for children who are 4 years old by September 1st through sixth grade. During the year, our children offer performances in church that include singing, instrumental and speaking. Our Christmas programs are one of our big productions that have delighted the congregation each year. At the beginning of Sunday School each fall, our current third grade class is presented with a new NRSV Bible, which they use during Sunday School and through their confirmation classes. Pastor Thompson also leads our sixth grade students through First Communion instruction during the Lenten season each spring. Students celebrate their First Communion with their families and friends at our Maundy Thursday worship service. In the fall of that year, they begin confirmation classes.

Senior High Youth

Planned events vary for students in 9th - 12th grades. Watch for further announcements!

C-Ya, an ecumenical community youth group meets at United Church of Christ , every-other Sunday at noon, beginning September 15th.

Confirmation
Confirmation is held for 7th & 8th grade students. Students come directly from school on Wednesday afternoons, have a time for snacks, and then meet from 4:00 - 5:00 p.m. , September - April. Our Intern Pastor leads the 7th grade class and Pastor Thompson instructs the 8th grade class.
8th grade students are confirmed on the first Sunday in May.  During the year, we have volunteer parents who coordinate activities for our middle school youth, such as fund-raisers, trips, parties, etc.
